Home Depot is one of the largest retailers in the US dedicated to home improvement products, construction materials, and small or heavy equipment for any kind of job. If you want to work in this place, you must know that you have to do every now and then a mandatory health check to provide information about your condition.
Since Home Depot is open every day, the circulation of people inside the store is massive, and employees need to be in their top shape to attend to the clients. For those reasons, the THD Health Check App was created, to obtain information about Associates and SSC Non-Associates.
This process is quick, but you have to answer honestly about your current status. Avoiding any danger of illness is the top priority for the safety of everyone. So, keep reading to understand how to fill out this questionnaire, and what benefits it can bring for you.
How Does The Home Depot Health Check App Work?
This Health Check is designed for Associates and SSC Non-Associates. You can proceed with several free tests that can save some money and also get the results on your device. It is mandatory to do your daily health check after you clock in upon arrival on your next shift.
All the information that gathers through the app is safe to use for analyzing the safety of the employees in the work environment. If you present some bad results, you can be discharged until further notice, once you feel good enough to work again.
This information is also provided to health authorities or even the government if necessary. If you are late to do the health check, you will need to provide a Time and Attendance Change Request form for the additional time spent on the test to your time card.
Benefits of the Health Check app
As an employee using this app, you have available different types of health plans that you can choose from. Keep in mind that these benefits can also apply to your family. As an associate, you have these advantages at your disposal:
First of all, you have a wide range of health insurance available. Depending on if you are a part-time associate or full-time hourly and salaried associate, the number of services that are in the insurance plan can vary. For example, the former has access to:
- Dental benefits
- Life Insurance cover
- Short-Term Disability Insurance
- Vision benefits
While the latter has these four and more services:
- Medical benefits
- Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
- Spending Accounts benefit
Not all the benefits are medical-related; you can also use the app to register absences. In other words, these are time-off benefits, and the main purpose is to let the company know if you have to be in another place or leave. However, this is only for important situations, like bereavement leaves, remembrance days, holidays, or service for the jury.
Also, as an incentive for the employees, there are financial benefits that you can take advantage of. For example:
- Bank incentives
- FutureBuilder 401(k) Plan
- Spending Account benefits
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) benefit
